RADAR Offers Full External Asset Discovery at the Click of a Button

External asset discovery is critical to every organization’s overall data security posture. Unknown and forgotten assets end up becoming unpatched assets, increasing the overall attack surface. But discovering external assets can be time consuming, inaccurate, and can require the use of multiple tools and methods, forcing analysts to spend valuable time on correlating and reconciling data. 

We built RADAR to solve this use case. Powered by our PureSignal data, RADAR draws on Team Cymru’s 40+ telemetry data sets. This offers unparalleled vision of connected assets using purely passive data—no noise, no scans, just visibility. 

Using RADAR for External Asset Discovery

Every RADAR search is as simple as putting in a job name and at least one top-level domain. Once you hit search, RADAR will recursively search through Team Cymru’s PureSignal data, the largest source of context-rich telemetry beyond the network edge. This allows RADAR to identify all internet-facing IPs, CIDR ranges, domains, and sub-domains linked to your search.

This information is then broken into four views: 

• An interactive relational graph, showing the relationships between domains, IPs, and CIDR ranges
• A domain view, listing all domains and sub-domains linked to your query
• A CIDR range view, listing the matching IPs within each range, the size of each CIDR range, as well as the discovery source
• An IP table view, listing discovered IPs as well as associated details, like common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVEs) and known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs) 

IP data can also be filtered based on our over 2,300 tags, like VPN, CDN, shared-host, cloud, and more. 

Within minutes, a single simple search in RADAR provides a full footprint of all connected, internet-exposed assets and the context you need to remediate any security issues.
