Training Partnerships and Collaboration

Team Cymru places great value in establishing partnerships with stakeholders for the betterment of the Internet community. While such partnerships may often involve active data sharing, we are also very open to collaboration in any activity that can support the development of the Internet and make it a safer environment.

Some possibilities specifically within the area of training and support that would be of interest are:

• Joint training
• Sharing of training material
• Support and training consultation
• Arrangements for access to Team Cymru tools
• Development of best practice guidelines and standards
• Resource development
• Guidance and industry input to academic and other educational institutions
• Establishment of Certified Team Cymru Training Centres

It is our long-term intention to develop local training capacity specifically in the developing regions by building a framework of local agents to:

• Facilitate the training of local trainers
• Manage the delivery of training on a wider scale within local communities by these local trainers
• Liaise with the Team Cymru Training Practice in the provision of material, guidance and support for the training.
• Ensure that standards are maintained
• Liaise in the establishment of local partnerships

Discussions have already taken place with potential agents for:

• India
• Cambodia
• PNG
